Claire & Xavier

Claire and Xavier met as undergraduates at Towson University. They both joined Alpha Phi Omega, the co-ed service fraternity, and were paired as big and little.

At the end of that term, a community service event drew only two members: the two of them. They spent nearly the whole day together, and the lunch afterward, meant to be quick, ran eight hours. They talked about politics, social advocacy, and the Beatles.

Their first date was the next day. Dinner at Bread & Circuses, then Spider-Man: No Way Home.

They dated for years. Xavier proposed by torchlight on a private beach in Kailua-Kona, on the Island of Hawaii.

Claire teaches middle school history and special education. Xavier is a GTM engineer and entrepreneur. They live in Lutherville-Timonium.
